Greta Thunberg campaigning for climate change in adapted form
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg (17) has struck again for the climate. She posted a photo of her coat, shoes, and a protest sign in front of the Stockholm Parliament Building.
Due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, Thunberg moved her weekly action to the internet. Since the beginning of March, she has been posting a photo from home every Friday, and this changed today.
“School strike week 88,” it says by the picture. “Today, we planned a global climate strike with millions of participants. But in an emergency, you have to adapt and change your behavior. The climate crisis is still ongoing, and we need to address every crisis.”
At the beginning of March, she called on all climate activists to organize online demonstrations during the corona crisis.
On Wednesday, Thunberg said that the climate problem has indeed not disappeared, although the corona crisis now demands almost all attention.
She emphasized that there must be another way to protest and that the climate should not get in the damn corner.
“We should be able to deal with two crises at the same time,” she said in a video debate organized by the Nobel Museum.
