Instagram launches new update to combat online bullying
A new update was launched this week for the social networking site Instagram. After the update, the medium on which anyone can distribute photos and videos is better equipped to combat online bullying, also known as cyberbullying.
The new Instagram update says it has come to “make Instagram a safe place for its users”. Facebook and Instagram, which are both owned by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, want to be pioneers in the fight against online bullying.
To block
The most important thing about the new update is that from now on, users can choose who can mention them in messages, in photos, or in comments.
In addition, it is also possible to delete up to 25 comments on your photos at the same time, and the new update also allows you to block several people at the same time.
The purpose of this is to banish hateful comments or people with bad intentions from your Instagram profile.
Instagram will soon start testing another update, the “pinned reaction”. This update will allow you to pin positive comments to your photos or videos so that other users will see your favorite or pinned comments first.
It is not yet clear when this new function will be introduced.
