Nigeria: Calabar, former port of the slave trade

Heading southeastern Nigeria, the city of Calabar, capital of Cross River State, a tourist region.

The city was between the seventeenth and nineteenth century an important port of the slave trade to America.

What remains of this past? A museum traces this part of the story.
