Queen Elizabeth (93) fools tourists: ‘No, I’ve never met the queen’

American tourists who were not very familiar with the British royal family made a big mistake some time ago when they bumped into Queen Elizabeth. The group met her near Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Elizabeth, who was wearing a headscarf, was taking a walk with security guard Richard Griffin and came across a group of tourists. They asked her if she had ever met the queen. The Queen then joked: “No, but this cop did.”

Griffin, who has worked for the royal family for thirty years, told the story, which happened some time ago, to The Times.

According to him, the Americans dropped out after a while without ever knowing that they too had seen the queen in real life.
