Shark drags 10-year-old Australian boy from fishing boat

A 10-year-old boy was injured today after a shark grabbed him from a fishing boat. The incident occurred some three miles off the coast of northwestern Tasmania in Australia.

The shark dragged the boy out of the boat. When the father jumped into the water to save the boy, the animal ran off. The child is injured in his arm, head, and chest, the emergency services of the Australian state reported.

The boy, wearing a life jacket, was admitted to the hospital. His condition is stable, according to the emergency service.
