Taylor Swift: Her romantic and love stories at a glance [Photos]
Since launching her international career, Taylor Swift has lived through several media stories. Her first known relationship was with the American singer Joe Jonas.
Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas only official appearance date back to September 2008, when they attended the MTV Video Music Awards together. A few weeks later, the then 18-year-old country star admitted on the Ellen DeGeneres shows that Joe Jonas had broken up with her “over the phone in 25 seconds.”
She was inspired by this experience to write her song “Forever and Always”.
The young woman then fell in love with British singer Harry Styles, then at the start of his career with his group ‘One Direction’. Their romance didn’t last, but it once again inspired Taylor Swift for her songs “I Knew You Were Trouble”, “Style”, and “Out of the Woods”.
On March 14, 2021, the two met at the Grammy Awards, greeting each other and conversing. Proof that two famous exes can indeed stay on good terms.
John Mayer “humiliated”
It is not with John Mayer that she could have such an agreement. In 2009, the two artists had worked together for the title “Half of My Heart”. While they never said anything, rumours had hinted that a romance had arisen from the collaboration.
The singer finally confirmed in her single “Dear John”, released in 2010, and in which she revealed to have been neglected and abused by her lover. In 2012, John Mayer then complained to the magazine “Rolling Stone” that this song had “humiliated” him.
After lesser-known flirts with Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor Kennedy, and more serious romances with Calvin Harris or Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift met English actor Joe Alwyn in 2016. A stable and solid relationship that she likes to live away from prying eyes.
At the Grammy Awards on March 14, she had addressed a dedication to her companion when she received an award for her album “Folklore”. “I want to thank… Joe, the first person I play every song I write. I had the best time writing songs with you,” she said.
Joe Alwyn has indeed co-signed several songs of his girlfriend under the pseudonym, William Bowery. The man of his life?
