This must be the biggest rage outburst ever in tennis

A bad day at work, it happens to all of us. The Spanish tennis player Mario Vilella Martinez, however, found it very difficult to abandon his match at the Kazakh ATP tournament. In an unseen tantrum, he left nothing of his tennis racket.

On the ATP challenger in the Kazakh city of Almaty, Mario Vilella Martínez (ATP 262) won his first set against Tomislav Brkić (ATP 124) 6-1 yesterday.

Late in the third set, however, the 23-year-old Spaniard lost the chance to serve the game comfortably. A 5-6 deficit made it even worse: Vilella Martínez made three double errors.

When he then hit the match ball of the Bosnian Brkić outside, Vilella Martinez ignited an enormous outburst of anger. He slammed his racket against the court with full force up to six times.

Then he threw it against the fence to finally humbly congratulate Brkić on the win. Highly flammable, that’s what it’s called.
