Many years ago, our planet was inhabited by monsters, huge flying lizards, giant fish. Nevertheless, to this day, strange creatures live in different parts of the Earth, the origin of which defies scientific explanation.
1. Abominable Snowman (Yeti)
The giant yeti prefers to hide from people in hard-to-reach places: in the mountains, among the eternal snows. Science is in no hurry to explain this phenomenon, despite the abundance of photographs of the creature in various sources. One of the characteristic features of Bigfoot is growth over two meters, as well as abundant hair on the entire body.
The beast possesses huge limbs, as evidenced by the impressive paw prints in the snow. Security cameras are currently being deployed around the world to prove the existence of Bigfoot.
2. Loch Ness Monster
The existence of this animal was said several thousand years ago, but to this day, there is no evidence of its existence. According to legend, the creature lives in the Scottish Loch Ness. The monster present as a massive animal with a long neck, two pairs of fins, and a tail.
According to various versions, someone thinks Nessie is a giant fish; some thought is a surviving dinosaur. Scientists, however, deny both versions.
3. Chupacabra
There are many frightening stories about this creature. The monster attacks livestock and sucks the blood out of it. Eyewitnesses claim that the beast resembles a mixture of a jackal and a kangaroo; according to various rumors, the beast also has tiny wings.
To this day, there are many stories about the origin of the Chupacabra. One of the most popular versions at the moment is the escaped result of foreign genetic experiments. In various sources, you can find videos of the attempt on the life of Chupacabra on livestock and birds.
4. Kraken
The Kraken is a great sea monster that looks like a giant squid. It lives off the coast of Norway and Iceland. Many remains of similar creatures have been found on various shores, and the Kraken has hunted since the beginning of the 20th century.
According to legend, this monster captures ships with tentacles, dragging them to the bottom and smashing them against the rocks. Most of the time, the Kraken spends hibernation at sea depths and only occasionally wakes up, causing many sea disasters.
5. Goblin
There is a story referring to it as the spiritual master of the forest. According to various rumors, goblin looks like humanoid giants or huge trees. However, the goblin can change his appearance, so it is difficult to say his actual appearance.
The goblin present as a kind and caring owner of the forest, but he can also go into a rage, break trees, and kill animals and birds.
6. Mermaids
Mermaids are humanoid sea creatures. They usually portray as girls with a fishtail and long, silky hair. They love to sunbathe on the coastal beaches and rocks.
According to popular beliefs, mermaids live not only in the seas but also in lakes, pools, and even wells. Sailors of the past centuries met mermaids so often that scientists couldn’t dismiss their stories.
7. Sirens
In contrast to mermaids, these mythical creatures were considered incredible seductresses of men in all eras while very malicious. The sirens enchanted careless seafarers with their excellent singing and appearance, pursuing their main goal – to destroy. Among sailors, it believes that even one short glance at a tailed seductress leads to misfortune.
8. Dragons
Did dragons exist, or are they characters that only appear in legends? Fabulous monsters with a sharp mind, flying, and incinerate everything around with fire are what dragons seem to be. Descriptions of dragons are similar in the tales of all peoples, which suggests that once, these monsters existed.
9. Vampires
People have been interested in the existence of vampires since ancient times. The bloodsucker has a rather frightening appearance for a person: thin creatures of tall stature, with ashen skin and protruding fangs. It’s widely believed that vampires are afraid of sunlight.
It has long been known cases when a monster attacked entire settlements, the bites of which can be recognized by the characteristic marks on the neck.
10. Werewolves
Werewolves are amazing creatures, half-humans, half-beasts, capable of changing their appearance during the full moon. Until now, science does not know whether werewolves are only a figment of human imagination or exist.
Currently, there is much evidence of how the full moon affects the habits and behavior of people, especially, but the question of the existence of werewolves is still open.
