“Once it hits, it means – it loves,” women consoled themselves, wiping away tears and covering bruises with foundation. What makes men inflict moral and physical pain on women and humiliate and insult their companions in life?
The reasons for this behavior can be different. In most cases, such “house tyrants” are obtained from men who cannot boast a particularly high status. But inside every male (be it a cat, a man, or even a swordfish), there is a desire to become the “leader of the pack.”
Therefore, those who cannot realize their ambitions in society prove their “strength and masculinity” in the family, demonstrating “who is in charge here in every possible way.” At the same time, the desire to “trample in the mud” becomes especially strong when a man feels that a woman is superior to him in some way: smarter, more successful at work, more active, and so on.
Another reason why men humiliate women is the fear of losing her. Men deep down in their hearts are sure that if you convince your spouse that she is a stupid, fat, worthless and useless woman, no one wants to live next to whom (except for him, such a noble and humanitarian), no one wants to, the woman will not dare to leave him …
And he needs that: so that it does not go anywhere and is forever grateful that he made her wretched, happy. Surprisingly, this strategy works very often, and husbands do manage to lower their spouse’s self-esteem greatly.
All of the above is typical primarily for men with wounded pride, who take out their complexes and resentment against the world on women. But sometimes, quite mentally healthy and quite successful men nevertheless arrange “Italian scandals” for their beloved wives with fatal insults and assault. Why do they need it?
Perhaps upbringing is to blame in such cases. After all, little boys from childhood are taught to restrain emotions: men do not cry and generally do not show their feelings outwardly. But they, if anything, fight and swear. It turns out that aggression – physical or psychological – becomes for many the only way to “let off steam”. And here, whoever got under the arm is to blame.
