Black Box Revelation likes to think out of the box. They proved that with their new single ‘Tattooed Smiles’: no fewer than 140 fans blindly put a tattoo for the video clip of the song.
‘Tattooed smiles’ is about memories that make you smile for the rest of your life, and that’s what Jan Paternoster and Dries Van Dijck took very literally. For the video clip they wanted to make a stop-motion video, but not just with drawings. They asked their fans if they wanted to have a real tattoo.
No less than 140 people were prepared to do so. 16 tattoo artists had their hands full on 16 September to give everyone a permanent drawing. An entire company, but the result may well be good.
