21-year-old Canadian rapper Houdini has died after being shot in a shooting in Toronto. His family confirms the rapper’s death.
Since May 26, the day of the shooting, rumors circulated that the rapper was one of the victims. He was taken to hospital after the incident but died of his injuries there later today.
Two other people – a boy of 15 and a woman of 28 – were seriously injured.
According to the police, six to ten shots were fired during the attack, which they believed was organized with premeditation.
The suspect waited no less than 40 minutes on the corner of the street until he saw Houdini passing by.
Houdini was one of the most-streamed independent rappers of the moment. On Spotify, he has 19.2 million streams to his name.
His most famous songs were ‘Late Nights’, ‘Myself’, and ‘Backseats’.
