“Final closure of O’Naturel”: Only nude! restaurant in Paris
The only restaurant in Paris has thrown the towel into the ring. “It is with great regret that we announce the final closure of the O’Naturel restaurant”, the initiators write on their website. The case must by necessity close the doors due to a lack of customers.
Leave your clothes and your embarrassment at home, was the creed at the restaurant that opened in November 2017 in the twelfth arrondissement. The only nud!st restaurant of the French capital is owned by the brothers Mike and Stephane Saade.
As soon as the customers passed the changing rooms, they could sit in one of the twenty tables in an Adam or Eve costume. The menus of the ‘bistronomic’ kitchen varied from 39 to 49 euros.
The decoration was deliberately kept sober. White curtains had to prevent outside viewing. Guests also had to hand in their mobile phone on arrival so that they could not sneakily take photos of other people present. The announcement of the closure is no surprise for regular customer Cedric Amato. As vice-president of the Association of Naturists of Paris, he obviously has a right to speak.
According to him, it was too early for a case that is entirely dedicated to naturism. “We have not reached enough people over a whole year who want to dine naked in the capital”, it sounds.
Another problem according to Amato is the absence of regulars. “You do not have to undress every day to eat.” In addition, O’Naturel is located in a residential area, so there is little passage. The restaurant also has no terrace for sunny days.
Anyone who wants to dine naked once in the Paris case, can go there for a few more weeks, reports Mike Saada in the newspaper Le Figaro. The exposed restaurant will close the door next month.
