This Dog picks out the softest four-legged friend every day for naps
Need a smile on your face at these Coronation times? You ask if this dog is a cuddle monster. Because little Edna can’t sit at home alone when her owners go to work during the day, she’s been a loyal customer at a daycare for dogs since puppyhood. And there she shows remarkable behavior: every day she chooses a different dog…to take a nap. “When it’s time to go home, I have to peel her off another dog every time,” her boss laughs.
When Edna stays in the dog shelter during her owners’ working hours, her routine is clear: she enthusiastically plays her soul out of her body for the first three to four hours, and then she has to recuperate with good naps.
Relegated to bed
With so many four-legged friends around, it is not always easy to find a comfortable place to sleep. But Edna has found a solution for that. As soon as it is bedtime, she looks around long and well – to end up with one of the softest dogs present deliberately. Like it or not, it will become her bed for the rest of the day. Whether that dog is big or small, it doesn’t matter. Edna is pleased. (And luckily her sleeping aids apparently too).
Cuddle monster
“All dogs seem to be able to taste their crazy cuddle companion,” owner Brianna Gottfried tells The Dodo. “Even the little dachshunds.” “When she was a puppy, it was clearly easier to use dogs as a bed or pillow. But even now that she is already a bit bigger, she refuses to stop. She just loves to cuddle and uses her time in the shelter to pick up as much dog love as possible.”
And when it is time to go home? Then Edna is almost always dozed off on one of her friends. “When it comes time to go home, I have to peel her off another dog over and over again,” Brianna chuckles.
