An American burglar admitted himself to a restaurant that had to remain closed due to corona measures. Luis Angel Ortiz spent four days eating and drinking. Seventy bottles of liquor disappeared as a result.
The owner of the restaurant in New Haven, Connecticut, discovered the break-in and informed the police. When officers arrived, they saw a sleeping man lying through the window with a bottle of rum.
In the restaurant, food and alcoholic drinks disappeared for thousands of dollars. In total, there were seventy bottles, a large part of which was consumed on-site. Several other items were also stolen. The burglar was arrested.
Images from a surveillance camera showed that the man had first accessed the case four days earlier. The 42-year-old man was already known to the police.
