Who has the largest? World Mustaches and Beards World Championships
Belgium has won the Mustache and Beards World Cup for the first time in history through the national club: Antwerp Mustache Club. And at that World Championship, you can spot special creations and creatures all weekend long. From Princess Leia to Napoleon, from the ‘musketeer’ to the ‘handlebar mustache’.
John Dixon (46), England: “I call this creation Princess Leia, after Leia Skywalker from Star Wars. Yes, I’m a fan. I made the plan to mold my beard to it drunk.”
“My wife is also there. She has dressed as Chewbacca, but I cannot find her anymore. Unbelievable…. In real life, I am a manager. Wouldn’t you say so, huh? “
Benjamin Juerjens (32), New Orleans, USA: “My mustache was there in a year. But also good, because after every championship he goes off. Too hot in the summer, man.”
“A year before the next championship I let him grow again. You wouldn’t believe it with this suit, but I work for NASA as an engineer. I am involved in the construction of the largest rocket ever.”
Ronny Coosemans (54), Geraardsbergen: “In 2002 I left my mustache for the first time. During the week I work as a trucker and then I pay less attention to it.”
“If you have to get up so early to leave, you really don’t feel like working on it for an hour and a half. Then I am in the bathroom longer than my wife Nora. But at least she’s in love with that mustache. And it has already won prizes at the world championships. Yes, I am proud of that.”

Gray Faulkner (36), Ohio, USA: “I work as an actor and model all over the world. My greatest asset? What do you think? My beard of course.”
“It took 8 years for it to become that long. I hardly dare say it, but it takes 3 hours to style it. Beat that, ladies.”
Erwin Butsch (54), Germany: “I am a member of the German club Belle Mustache. Since my 16 years, the first down, I leave my beard.”
“This is the ‘musketeer’ and I have an hour and a half to work on it. If I don’t do anything with my mustache, then it hangs like that of a sad walrus.”
James McMahon (46): “I had to save for my beard for almost five years. It started with a small mustache and my wife was crazy about it. She asked me to grow my beard hair every time. It’s all her fault.”
