Ferrari unveiled a new model on Friday, of which only one is being made: the Omologata. It is not known which wealthy customers ordered the unique sports car.
The ‘Omologata’ is technically based on the existing model ‘812 Superfas’, but apart from the original windscreen and headlights, almost everything has been adapted to the body, according to Ferrari.
Curvy shapes and wavy lines play the leading role in the almost futuristic-looking model, which was colored with the three-layer ‘Rosso Magma’ Ferrari color and also received a completely new red hue as an accent color. Striking are the contrasting bright blue seats, which are covered with a combination of leather and Jeans Aude.
Black is also the magic word inside. There are only a few subtle metal accents on the dashboard and the steering wheel, and there is also the iconic Ferrari F1 bridge.
The large V12 petrol engine is a well-known one: 6.5 liters with 800 hp power and 690 Nm of pulling power (torque). With this, the 812 Superfast already sprints to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds. The Omologato will be able to produce roughly the same figures.
It is a ‘one-off’ car, which means that it remains with this one unique copy. The mysterious European who is said to have ordered it will be the only owner in the world. The price can really only be speculated. In any case, it will be many millions of dollars. The meaning of ‘omologata’? That is ‘approved’. Yes, it is.
The model is only Ferrari’s tenth one-off V12 since 2009.
