Herbalist arrested for using police officer’s eyes as ritual for invincible jacket

The Katsina State Police Command arrested Ussaini Musa, an 80-year-old herbalist and two others who reportedly snatched the eyes of a police sergeant in Jos, Plateau State, to make an invincible jacket.

State Police Commissioner Muhammadu Wakili told a press conference on Wednesday that the other suspects were Abubakar Sani, 35, and Abubakar Muhammed, 28.

It was learned that while Sani resided in Katsina, Muhammed and Musa were based in Jos.

The police commissioner stated that the victim, Sergeant Umana Ishaya, a mobile police officer on special duty during Operation Safe Haven, in Jos, was in Mufti when the incident occurred.

Wakili said the suspects had snatched the sergeant’s eyes before killing him.

The suspects told the herbalist that they wanted the invincible jacket to enter a house where huge sums of money were kept.

The herbalist has told them to get the eyes of a living human as part of the making of the jacket.

The PC said: “The suspects confessed to the crime, each stating the roles he played. They will be indicted immediately the investigation is over.”

“The victim’s eyes were among the evidence recovered from the suspects.”
