Parents of the same birthday born their first child on their birthday

How bizarre is this chance? Two partners who share their birthday, and then have their first child on the same birthday. Their baby was born on 19 June

You can’t really plan something like that, so it was exceptionally lucky for a couple from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, a municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland.

According to Dutch News media AD, Nikki Zwaans (born 19 June 1988) and Etienne Smeels (19 June 1992) welcomed their first child on Friday: Britt Romée.

“Great, perfect!” Said the father. “We liked it close to 19 June, but it is exactly what makes this day even more special than it already was.”

The proud parents and their daughter are doing well.
