Originally from Ha-Masia in Venda (Limpopo), Shudufhadzo Musida, 23, is Miss South Africa 2020. She graduated from the University of Pretoria and is currently finishing her Honors in International Relations at the University of Wits. Now the new beauty queen can add Miss South Africa 2020 to her accomplishments and end 2020 on a high.
With striking beauty, her natural bald head, and well-lit responses, Shudufhadzo Musida, had packed all of the South African pretties into her bag. Some of her fans have been with her from the onset of Miss South Africa 2020 contestants were first introduced publicly.
Her path to the crown has not been all rosy. But, comments on social media placed Shudufhadzo Musida as the big favorite in the 2020 Miss South Africa contest.
At the time, many tweeps felt that she shouldn’t let fame get to her head so soon before the competition’s final verdict. In the end, she was crowned Miss South Africa 2020 last Saturday. She succeeds Zozibini Tunzi, Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019.
With this crown of the most beautiful woman in South Africa 2020, Shudufhadzo Musida will receive 1 million rands in cash, as well as sponsorships and prizes worth an additional 2 million rand, including the use of a luxury Sandton apartment and a Mercedes-Benz convertible, for one year.
The first runner-up Thato Mosehle (25), a doctor from her state and Klerksdorp in the North-West, received 250,000 rands in cash. The second runner-up Natasha Joubert, a B.Com graduate from Pretoria, collected 100,000 rands.
Organizers said it will also be the first time the trio has represented the country at the world’s three most prestigious contests, Miss Universe, Miss World, and now also Miss Supranational. “It will only be revealed at a later date which competitor will go to which competition,” said the organizers.
