Horror
Director: Corin Hardy. Main roles: Demián Bichir, Taissa Farmiga.
The mystique of the Roman Catholic Church is also a rewarding source of inspiration for this spin-off of the Conjuring series. This dark story, which takes place in Romania in the 1950s, is cleverly framed by scenes with paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren.
A nun hangs in a remote monastery. The Vatican sends a priest with his own demons and a young novice. The latter is played by the sister of Vera ‘Lorraine Warren’ Farmiga. Anyway, you guessed it: the duo, together with a strange French guy, ends up in an abomination nest where evil appears in creepy forms. This chapter is not as creepy as The Conjuring from 2013, but fortunately we work with proven shock effects, mounting trucks and sound design.
