A tragedy as a woman undresses to show her scars to the president

A woman undressed at a presidential summit on gender-based violence to the surprise of the guests.

It has been established that the woman identified as Ausi Phindile decided to undress at the summit in South Africa to show her scars to President Cyril Ramaphosa after being raped and undergoing five surgeries around her abdomen.

The Summit on Gender Violence and Femicide took place Thursday (yesterday) at the Saint George Hotel in Centurion.

The government convened the two-day rally following a call from the total closure movement on a march to the Union buildings on Women’s Day. The summit aims to find ways to combat the scourge of femicide and violence against women in the country.

Activists showed women’s underwear during Ramaphosa’s speech calling for action against perpetrators of gender-based violence. The survivors called for justice and closure, claiming that some of their attackers are at large. Ramaphosa said that abuses against women and children could no longer be tolerated in the country.
