Former President Barack Obama “was an incompetent president. That’s all I can say. Very incompetent.” President Donald Trump said this shortly after landing on Sunday at the White House and was faced by journalists with statements Obama made about the current administration’s corona policy.
In an online speech to graduate students, the former president satirized on Saturday in addressing the US corona crisis. He said the United States lacks leadership in this matter.
According to Obama, the dreaded virus has ‘pulled the curtain away from the idea that people know the buttons they are working on’. Several of them ‘don’t even pretend to be responsible.’
Obama did not mention names, but he made this comment after recently lashing out at the corona policy of his successor Donald Trump. In a conversation with former employees, he called his treatment of the epidemic “an absolutely chaotic disaster”.
Trump said that he had not heard Obama’s speech and that he had had a busy working weekend. “We have had many great meetings. Enormous progress is being made on many fronts, including coming up with a cure for this terrible plague that has plagued our country.”
Obama did not respond to Trump’s criticism, but only posted a word on his Twitter account: ‘vote’.
