Zimbabwean former President Robert Mugabe “can not walk”
Robert Mugabe has been in Singapore for two months, where he is treating for an undeclared disease, according to the current head of state.
Emmerson Mnangagwa was at a rally in the home region of his predecessor when he talked about his health. “He is old now, of course, he is now unable to walk. But whatever he asks, we will provide him,” he said, quoted by AFP.
Despite his inability to walk, Mnangagwa added, the former head of state felt better and is expected to return to Zimbabwe next week. “We take care of him, he is the founding father of the Zimbabwe nation. He is our founding father of free Zimbabwe,” the Zimbabwean president added.
According to him, the medical treatment of the former president is financially supported by the state. Mugabe has travelled to Singapore several times for medical reasons in recent years.
