There are two types of problems in every person’s life: real and invented by yourself—the former need to be addressed as quickly as possible, while the latter is a little different.
You do not need to change the situation itself, but rather your attitude towards it. After you begin to perceive events differently, you will quickly understand what to do next. We have collected several problems in your life that you invented yourself.
Lack of time
There are 24 hours in a day, and if we consider that on average, 8 of them you spend on sleep, then there are at least 16 more left. You can use them as you please. However, the question is not how much time you have but how you use it. Think about what you spend most of your free hours on probably; the list of mandatory items will include scrolling through memes, watching videos, lying aimlessly on the couch, and other activities that do not help you to get ahead with your tasks or to have quality rest.
Lack of time is a problem that almost all people who, for whatever reason, do not want or cannot plan their day come up with as an excuse. So, instead of complaining, try to figure out what you are doing wrong and how you can optimize your work and do everything you need to do.
Non-compliance with established standards
You may worry about not meeting established standards. But if you think about it, who is generally capable of dictating how you look, who to work with, and what decisions to make. What other people expect from you: parents, girlfriend, friends, or society in general – these are only their expectations, which have nothing to do with you.
You should not change for the sake of someone else; you should not act as you are told; you should not become a source of pride for anyone. You have your own life, and you must live it in such a way as to remain content.
Bad attitude of others
You may often think that others treat you unfairly. Such thoughts may be prompted by strange behavior, bad mood, critical comments, remarks, etc. But you have to understand a few important things: you do not always become the cause of someone’s upset and are not responsible for the feelings of others.
In addition, you are not always objective in assessing someone else’s behavior: when a person reprimands you, gives you negative feedback, or builds communication with you differently from the way you are used to, this does not mean that they treat you badly.
Lack of pleasure in everyday life
This is another problem that you made up for yourself. You have many opportunities to please yourself; you do not notice them and look for something that will cause you strong positive emotions. Learn to pay attention to various pleasant things: for example, the opportunity to pamper yourself with your favorite food, meet with a friend, buy coffee in the morning on the way to work, watch a good movie on the day off.
You have everything to make yourself happy; the only question is whether you know how to use it or not. If you ignore the little things that make up a good mood and that please you, you really won’t feel satisfied with life.
You can talk as much as you like about the fact that a person has always been and will be alone, and we need to learn to enjoy being alone with ourselves. But a person is a social being; he lives in society, his family, loved ones, and friends are greatly important. Periodically, you can be driven and feel lonely. At such moments, all you need is to open your profile on social networks and make an appointment with a loved one, whoever he may be.
Communication in instant messengers and phone calls can never replace real live communication for you. So stop feeling sorry for yourself, worrying about feeling lonely, and spending most of your time at home. Get out of the apartment, chat, meet new people – this is a great alternative, if you are alone in an unfamiliar city, visit your family and old friends.
Identical everyday life
If your everyday life is similar to one another, this is not a problem, but your unwillingness to add at least some variety to everyday life. Think about how your day is going: if you can describe it in a humble home/work/home scheme, it is quite understandable why you feel bored.
It would help if you started making at least some adjustments: change your usual route, plan your free time, meet with friends during off-hours, find a hobby, go in for sports. Do at least something so that your life sparkles with new colors; otherwise, you will continue to take a wait-and-see attitude, but nothing will change over time.
Growing too slow
You can adjust yourself by comparing yourself with the people around you, who managed to realize themselves much earlier than you. But this is a fundamentally wrong approach because each person initially has different initial data, external circumstances influence their growth.
You can try your best but succeed in any endeavor in a few months or years, while others may come to the desired result much earlier. This is not a problem; it’s time for you to learn to forgive yourself and stop comparing yourself to others.
Inability to make money on what you are interested in
You often think about quitting your hated job, but you don’t do it because you think it’s impossible to make money on what you love. This is another problem you invented. If you try to understand the reasons for such thoughts, most likely, it turns out that you do not know how to monetize your hobby and are afraid that it will not satisfy your financial needs.
But it’s better to try and screw up than to dream about something all your life but forbid yourself to realize it. Moreover, a clear plan of action and a financial cushion will help you make your professional transition as painless as possible.
Feeling like life is wasted
You may feel like your life is being wasted. But if you are ready to change something, this feeling is not a problem but just a signal for action. Analyze what is wrong with your life and decide what you can do to change it for the better. This is the only way you can get rid of the feeling of hopelessness and lack of a future.
Well, an even more reasonable option is to think about what you have already achieved in life. For example, you have a good relationship with your family, a well-paid job, healthy relationships, connections, etc. List everything you have and what you have done in your life, and you will understand that it does not go to waste.
