Free-roaming lion in Spain turns out to be a dog
A moment of panic in Spanish Molina de Segura. On Saturday morning, the police got worried residents on the line who thought they had seen a lion running loose in the streets of the municipality in the southeastern region of Murcia.
Cops combed the area, but a blonde carnivore was nowhere to be found. They could reassure everyone a little later. The lion turned out to be a dog, an enormous specimen that could pass for a lion from afar. The owners had apparently only given their four-legged friend half a haircut.
Agents could approach the dog without any problems. Utilizing his identification chip, the owners are now tracked down.
