Kendall Jenner possibly witnessed in Fyre Festival case
Influencers who have praised the Fyre Festival may have to testify in a lawsuit about the fraudulent event. According to New York Post, this includes Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber.
The models contributed to the promotion of the festival. Thus, Bella appeared in a marketing video of Fyre and Kendall placed a sponsored post on Instagram, in which she suggested that her brother-in-law Kanye West would perform during the festival.
A judge who accompanies the bankruptcy of the festival organization gave the attorneys in the case permission to summon the influencers on Monday. The court documents show that model agency IMG, which Hailey and Bella work for, received about 1.2 million from the Fyre Festival. The company of Kendall and the agency where model and actress Emily Ratajkowski are under contract, were each paid $300,000.
The festival recently attracted a lot of attention after streaming services Hulu and Netflix both within a week a documentary about the grandiose party failed to bring out. Both films try to answer the question of how it could have gone so wrong with Fyre. Hulu mainly focuses on founder Billy MacFarland, who is currently serving a prison sentence of a number of years, Netflix focuses on the victims of the fiasco.
