Police searched flat of R. Kelly after tip about hostage women

The American police went to the apartment of the accused superstar R. Kelly yesterday, at the Trump Tower in Chicago to see if any lady would take on hostage in that flat. They left without having found evidence for it, spokesman for the police confirmed that.

The Cook County Attorney had passed a tip to the police claiming that an informer from outside the state had informed that two women would be detained at the singer’s residence in the Trump Tower, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the newspaper “The Chicago.”.

A patrol was then sent to the Trump Tower. They had contact with the singer and with a few women, according to Guglielmi. The women declared that they were not there against their will, whereupon the police judged that the allegations were not true and they left. The lawyer of R. Kelly, Steve Greenberg, said that this incident shows once again that his client is the victim of empty accusations.

Call victims
After attorney Kim Foxx made a public appeal to victims to come out with their complaints against the singer on Tuesday, dozens of complaints had come in, according to a spokeswoman for the Chicago court earlier this week.

R. Kelly has become the focal point of public attention. After a documentary was broadcast on television in which women accuse the singer of sexual abuse.

The singer has long been suspect of having had sexual intercourse with underage girls.

In 2008, a case bring against R. Kelly, because the singer would have made recordings of himself, while he had sex with a 13-year-old girl. He then went free.
