R&B and Soul singer James Ingram (66) died
R&B and soul singer James Ingram died at the age of 66 in his hometown of Los Angeles. That is what his good friend and colleague Debbie Allen has announced via Twitter. Ingram had been suffering from cancer for some time.
James Ingram became known in the 80’s by the duet Yah Mo B There that he sang along with Michael McDonald. The two won a Grammy Award for that number in 1985. Ingram had also won a Grammy Award in 1982. He was also involved in the benefit We the World.
Ingram also had well-known duets with Linda Rondstadt, Dolly Parton, Anita Baker and Patti Austin with whom he made the hit Baby, Come To Me.
