Teen (16) brings found wallet with $10,000 to police

An American teenager has issued a found purse with 10,000 dollars ‘more than 8,500 euros’ to the police. He was impressed by the honesty of 16-year-old Rhami Zeini.

“In a world in which we are bombarded with bad news, we are delighted that we can share a positive story,” police in Santa Barbara County in the US state of California said.

Zeini found the well-filled wallet in the middle of the road when he drove home after school, CNN said. He told his parents who brought him to the police station. Agents could find out the owner of the money. She thinks she had left the wallet on the roof of her car and then drove away.

The teenager said he just wanted to do what is right. “If the roles had been reversed and I had lost a lot of money, I would certainly have wanted it back”, said Zeini. He himself transferred an extra pocket money to his good deed. The relieved owner rewarded the boy with 100 dollars.
