The CAN 2021 the Ivorian Federation responds to the CAF

CAF wants to shift all CAN. The 2021 edition will be attributed to Cameroon and not to the Ivory Coast country initially chosen. The Ivorians will welcome it in 2023 instead of Guinea.

According to Ahmad, the 2021 ADC will be held in Cameroon and not in Côte d’Ivoire, and that of 2023 will be played in Côte d’Ivoire and not in Guinea.

The CAF announced two days ago want to shift all cuts of African nations. A process condemned by the Ivorian Football Federation which invites the CAF to respect the pre-established calendar. The IFF denied the information that it was consulted on the new programming of CAN 2021 and 2023.

In a statement, Ivorian football officials regret the remarks made by CAF. They deny having been seized on a possible postponement of the Can 2021 to be held on Ivorian soil. The Ivorians state in the statement that no Ivorian state authority or leader of the federation has been contacted. Or approached by the African Football Confederation.

A letter was sent to the leaders of the African football so that the CAN 2021 can be played in Ivory Coast as decided the executive committee of the CAF.
