You’ve never seen this: Spanish villa with pool that floats above terrace
Those who plan to build a swimming pool and are looking for an original design will undoubtedly draw inspiration from this project by the Dutch architect Wiel Arets in a villa in Marbella.
He proves sublimely how good a Spanish pool is in controlling water because this pool defies every imagination.
A floating pool is unique in itself, but what makes it even more special is the fact that you can also see the water from the terrace when you are under the cockpit and even from the kitchen when you are next to it.
According to HLN, Arets used 6cm thick glass to withstand the enormous pressure. Although the construction looks quite simple, the structure had quite a few feet. For example, all kinds of tests were carried out for two years.
The glass also plays a significant role within. Thanks to roof overhangs and walls in white concrete and curtains, the Dutch owners do not suffer from overheating or viewing from curious passers-by.
