Britney Spears’ Ex-manager leaks old voicemails: “I’m being blackmailed”
Sam Lufti (46), the man who acted as manager of Britney Spears (39) from 2007 to 2008, had published on Instagram several voicemails from the pop star dating from the period when Britney was just coming under the curatorship of father Jamie (69), and she wanted to get out of it even then. Lufti also claims that he previously posted these messages online but that thanks to the Free Britney movement, they are being brought back to attention.
“She has been fighting her father since 2009, who threatened to take her children away from her. The photos accompanying these clips were taken by me personally, so I can 100% guarantee that this is true, because I was there myself. Britney will never get these lost years where she was held captive back. Her children were little then and now they are already allowed to drive, that is just cruel and inhumane. Nothing has changed over the years and her two sons have had to miss their mother during most of their upbringing,” Lufti told Page Six.
In the clips, Britney says, among other things, that she already asked for a different lawyer at the time, instead of Samuel Ingham, who was assigned to her and who recently resigned. “I’ve been blackmailed by visitation with my babies by the conservatorship. I’m confined, restrained, and stripped of my civil rights. And I demand the state of California to review this case because I feel it’s illegal.”
Restraining order
It is not known what the relations between Lufti and Spears are at the moment. A restraining order against him was filed in 2008, which was resubmitted in 2009. Coincidentally, those requests coincided with the start of Jamie’s curatorship, so fans are wondering if Father Spears isn’t behind this. According to Lufti, the latter is clear.
“There was never anyone on the inside that would help. These calls are to my phone, these calls cost me a ton of money in court, tarnished my name further but also tore my soul apart, I had no idea where to turn, no one was listening no one seemed to care. I can’t believe nothing has changed.”
