Deported President of Sudan brought to parquet

The deposed president of Sudan, Omar Al-Bashir, was taken to the Khartoum prosecutor, charged with corruption charges. It is the first time that Al-Bashir has appeared in public since he was deposed in April.

Al-Bashir arrived at the public prosecutor’s office with an escort of military vehicles and heavily armed security. At the public prosecutor, he was told the official allegations against him, according to a prosecutor of the public prosecutor.

He left again after a few minutes, according to an AFP correspondent on the spot.

In addition to corruption, Al-Bashir is also being prosecuted for the manslaughter of protesters during the suppression of the protest movement.
