Guinea’s strongest man ban official vehicles, release political prisoners

This Monday, September 7, 2021, the head of the military junta, which initiated the coup in Guinea, went to the People’s Palace, where the presidents of the institutions were waiting for him, including Amadou Damaro Camara, president of the National Assembly, the head of the former government, Ibrahima Kassory Fofana.

To all these officials, Lieutenant Colonel Doumbouya instructed them to return their official cars, which will now be managed by the Guinean armed forces.

The Guinean officials were also notified of a ban on leaving the country. In addition, the junta has called for the release of all political detainees from all sides and, without exception, from this Monday afternoon.

It should be noted that President Alpha Conde had launched a vast operation to track down the opposition in his country.
