Thai woman cuts painters’ support ropes on towering building because repairs ‘irritate’ her
Two Thai painters have had the shock of their lives. A tenant of a high-rise apartment building, for example, cut the painters’ support ropes while they were working on repairs. The two hung for a time on the 26th level before being rescued by another neighbor. She was “annoyed” since she was unaware of the works, according to the culprit.
The event happened two weeks ago as painters were mending a break in the 32-story residential building. Nichanan Toh, a 34-year-old resident on the 21st floor, cut the ropes and stopped the guys from plunging.
The lady now faces a charge of attempted murder if she is found guilty. She denies attempting to assassinate the artists. Toh said she was only “annoyed” because she hadn’t seen the employment notice.
“A shocking occurrence”
Images posted on social media show one of the painters sending a distress signal to a neighbor, who then has the guys climb onto her balcony. “It was a horrific situation that should not have occurred,” the resident stated.
Nichanan Toh, the suspect, was freed temporarily but will appear in court shortly. She might face up to 20 years in jail if proven guilty of attempted murder.
