Two MPs in Madagascar died from Covid-19

In Madagascar, two MPs died from Covid-19. That is what President Andry Rajoelina reported. Another 11 members of the House of Representatives and 14 senators are infected with the virus.

One Member of Parliament and one Senator died. In addition to the various infections in both Houses of Parliament, employees of the President’s cabinet have also become infected.

Since the pandemic started, 2,573 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Madagascar, 35 of whom have died.

The real number is probably higher since the representative of the people who died has not been tested and is therefore not included in the official list of deaths.

The authorities expect that the peak of the epidemic on the island will not be reached until the end of June.
