7 tricks to help stay energized all-day
It is sometimes very difficult to stay vigorous, energetic, and active throughout the day, and some people are not helped by either strong coffee or liters of energy drinks. However, there are other ways to deal with sleepiness and recharge your batteries. Here are some tricks to help you cheer up and keep your body fresh until late into the evening.
Get enough sleep
Yes, everyone knows this trick, but, unfortunately, it is often forgotten. It’s hard to feel awake in the morning if you only slept 4-5 hours a night.
Most adults need 7-8 hours of sleep to feel well and function properly. Therefore, if you are not an exceptional person who can sleep less than six hours a night and feel great, you should not neglect a long night’s rest.
Exercise
Exercise is another fairly simple yet highly effective way to recharge your energy quickly. Exercise for 5 minutes immediately after waking up and during breaks at work, and you will feel much more alert and active throughout the day.
If possible, it is better to exercise outdoors or near an open window: this will relieve you of drowsiness and improve brain function by providing it with oxygen.
Start the day with the hardest thing
Perform the most difficult and unpleasant tasks in the morning while you still have a reserve of energy. After a while, you will get used to the load, and everything else will be easy for you, and by the end of the day, you will not feel like the asphalt paver has run over you.
Eat less sweets
Sugar gives energy very quickly, but, alas, it takes it away just as quickly. After eating sugary foods, your blood glucose rises and then drops, causing you to feel tired instantly.
Try to eat fewer sweets and prefer whole grains and protein foods that do not cause glucose spikes and provide the body with the necessary energy for a long time. Also, do not forget to drink water: it is very important for metabolism.
Swap coffee for mint tea
For some people, caffeine does not work at all as we would like, and instead of being alert, it provides drowsiness. If this sounds familiar to you, substitute mint tea for coffee.
Peppermint tea is great for refreshing, as well as improving concentration and performance.
Massage and breathe
A simple neck and earlobe massage can also help you to invigorate quickly. For a few minutes, massage the top of the neck and pull down on the earlobes.
This will relieve drowsiness and improve focus. Also, to saturate the brain with oxygen and relieve tension, it is worthwhile to devote a couple of minutes to breathing exercises.
Add light and music
If you need to focus on important work for a long time, be sure to turn on a bright light and do not sit in the semi-darkness. Light will relieve drowsiness and improve concentration.
And if you need to relieve stress and add some activity to your work, put on some fast, fun music. You don’t have to listen to music all the time: you can turn it on for 10-15 minutes to cheer up.
