Withdrawal of CAN in Cameroon: “a flagrant injustice”

The Cameroonian authorities reacted this weekend to the withdrawal of the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations to their country.

The decision was taken last Friday in Accra, Ghana.

Issa Bakary Tchiroma, the minister spokesperson of the Cameroonian government, believes that “this decision surprising in more than one way. certainly does justice to neither the huge investments made by Cameroon. Nor the commitment of the head of the state. And the Cameroonian people to make the necessary efforts to house in 2019. A glittering party of African football.”

According to the minister, Cameroon has been the subject of a treatment from the outset. In the context of this issue that can only raise questions.

Also, in the face of what he described as blatant injustice. The spokesman asked the Cameroonians to keep calm and not give in to the temptation of sterile polemics.

Among other things, the CAF believes that an event of the size of an African Cup of Nations requires an impeccable organization. The name of the alternate country will be known before the end of this month.
