With 17 million Instagram followers on the clock, Chiara Ferragni (32) is still one of the biggest fashion bloggers or also influencers on earth. 10 years ago she started her blog The Blonde Salad, which has since grown into a company with a turnover of millions. As a result of that birthday, a documentary about the Italian blonde will be released and will be presented at the Venice film festival. She announced that herself on Instagram.
Chiara started her blog in 2009. With the help of her ex-boyfriend, she regularly shared her outfits, travels, and snapshots of her daily life. Her number of followers grew rapidly, partly because she was one of the first to introduce the concept of ‘fashion blogging’.
In the meantime, she has millions of followers on Instagram and she employs around twenty people who write articles for her blog, take pictures of her and run her own clothing and shoe company. She is always in the front row at the leading fashion shows and has already worked with just about all major fashion names such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
According to the Evening Standard, she now collects more than 17,000 euros per Instagram post, but the results are as follows: in the week after she was married in a dress #suppliedbyDior, worldwide searches for the luxury brand increased by 117 percent. Last year, the Italian converted EUR 30 million.
This fall, she is celebrating the anniversary of her blog with her own documentary. Last year she was followed by a camera crew, directed by Italian Elisa Amoruso. Among other things, her pressure on marriage is discussed. Just like her fashion passages and how in all this fuss she makes time for her husband Fedez and baby Leoncino. Several famous designers such as Donatella Versace and Maria Grazia Chiuri van Dior also make their appearance in the film.
This year’s Venice Film Festival takes place from 28 August to 7 September.
