Very soon, we will be wearing chips to detect medical problems

Scientists from Columbia University have prepared a chip that will revolutionize the prevention of serious health issues.

It’s not that we did not get our warnings at family tables, taxis, public services, and vaccine pages. The chip of the Antichrist or Bill Gates or Obama or something like that is coming. Now we will happily believe them and the conspiracy theories. Okay, here we are talking about things that may be a little different.

This innovative gadget was made by engineers at Columbia University in New York and had nothing to do with Bill Gates or the Antichrist. Its creation aims not to plant Satan but to study and detect the condition in which an organism finds itself long before it does all the prescribed costly and time-consuming tests.

According to the university, this chip is expected to provide a continuous and complete report of the health of whoever wears it with the ultimate goal of improving their quality of life and, of course, increasing their life expectancy. Some of what it can detect are body temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and oxygen. The size of the chip is about the size of a grain of sand and is therefore invisible to the naked eye.

The head of the research team Ken Shepard is a professor of biomedical technology and recently stated in a press conference about this chip: “We wanted to see how far we can go by making a very small functional chip. It’s a new idea that sees the chip as a system, which in turn makes it a fully functional electronic system. “He added that” it will be revolutionary for the development of wireless and implantable medical devices that can detect many different things, find clinical applications and ultimately be used by humans.”

We do not have more details that this chip will work, and it will definitely take years for it to be applied, if applied, in medical practice. But it is undoubtedly an impressive achievement that shows the future of technology and medicine to more personalized versions.
